Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Institute for Research, Education and Training in Addiction (IRETA) is recruiting an individual from a doctoral program in psychology, social work, nursing, public health, or criminal justice for a unique one-year postdoctoral experience in evaluation research in substance use disorders, outside an academic setting. The fellowship will begin July 1, 2012. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to see and participate in the implementation and evaluation of empirically validated treatments for substance use disorders in applied, real-world settings. Current and future projects at IRETA include development of clinical guidelines for use in Medication Assisted Treatment, evaluation and process improvement of recovery oriented methadone maintenance programs, and development of performance measures for problem gambling recognition and treatment at the state level. IRETA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with individuals at the state, county and local level to improve prevention, intervention and treatment for individuals with substance use disorders. Please see the IRETA website for more detail about current projects at www.ireta.org.
Stipend is $46,000 plus benefits and additional funds available for travel to a professional conference (for example, CPDD, AHSR). The fellowship will be one year in duration, with the possibility to transition to a longer-term position.
