This webinar will provide skill-building, knowledge enhancing practical suggestions on how to offer sensitive, affirmative, culturally relevant, and effective treatment to transgender individuals in substance use treatment. It will be informative to the helping professional who has no familiarity with transgender populations, the participant who has moderate knowledge and experience, and the professional with considerable knowledge and who can benefit from a refresher.
Facilitator: JoAnne Keatley, MSW, is the Director of the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health at UCSF and has previously directed NIDA and SAMHSA funded transgender projects.
