New York State

IRETA houses the Northeast ATTC regional center, which is one of 14 centers within the national ATTC network. The Northeast region is comprised of Pennsylvania and New York state. Within New York state, IRETA works closely with state departments and agencies to coordinate approaches to prevention and treatment of addiction. IRETA also works with providers, provider associations, recovery organizations, and Single County Authorities (SCAs) on projects to improve addiction care in the Commonwealth. IRETA supports policies in the New York that align with a vision of addiction as a chronic condition often in need of longer term or ongoing care from which recovery is possible.

Regional Projects

Because IRETA houses the Northeast regional center, it leads collaborations between Pennsylvania and New York state. Click here for a brief snapshot of ATTC work in the Northeast region. Examples of collaborative projects are listed below.

Leadership Institute: Developed in conjunction with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (SAMHSA/CSAT) Partners for Recovery, the Institute is designed to train the next generation of leaders in the field. More information about the Leadership Institute in the Northeast region is available here.

ROSC Training of Facilitators: In August 2010, the ATTC Network held a Training of Facilitators (ToF) on Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC). Click here for conference materials. Each state sent three representatives for training. IRETA facilitates communication and collaboration between the New York and Pennsylvania teams.
