Motivational Enhancement Therapy: Motivational Interviewing
A two-day overview that includes information on the development and application of motivational enhancement therapy (MET). This twelve-hour curriculum is designed to provide alcohol and other drug counselors with the knowledge and tools necessary for motivational interviewing. The curriculum is divided into an Introduction and four Content Sections: 1. Basic Principals and Rationale of Motivational Enhancement Therapy, 2. Clinical Considerations, 3. The Two Phases of Motivational Enhancement Therapy: Motivational Interviewing, and 4. Significant Other. Includes participant handouts, trainer considerations, and bibliography.
