IRETA was pleased to participate in the National Behavioral Health Quality and Best Practices Pledge event at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C., on July 29th.
HHS convened healthcare leaders, medical societies, providers, and behavioral health experts who pledged to strengthen the nation’s behavioral health system by advancing best practices to improve patient care and outcomes for individuals experiencing mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Leaders committed to advancing best practices that support timely access to high-quality treatment, evidence-based assessment and care, measurable quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
IRETA advances many of these best practices as it pursues its mission to help people respond effectively to substance use disorders and helps treatment providers implement person-centered care that reflects established quality standards and The ASAM Criteria. Through training, technical assistance, and clinical quality-improvement activities, IRETA supports organizations to adopt evidence-based guidance into effective everyday practice.
IRETA also helps payers and other partners to use claims and administrative data to measure performance, strengthen accountability, and identify opportunities to improve substance use disorder care.
