Integrated Treatment When Cognitive Impairment is a Factor

Written by Marla Kauffman | March 29, 2025

This webinar explores how cognitive challenges impact SUD treatment and emphasizes a person-centered approach that considers cultural identity, trauma history, and cognitive ability. By recognizing diverse learning styles, processing speeds, and memory capacities, clinicians can provide compassionate, comprehensive care that supports long-term recovery.

Presenter
Julia Brower, an Advanced CASAC and NYS OASAS-approved trainer, has dedicated her career to helping individuals with cognitive impairment (CI) overcome the challenges of addiction. Julia founded Dragonfly Consulting and Training LLC to help organizations develop strategies to increase engagement, enhance understanding, and support long-term recovery for people with CI in need of SUD and/or MH treatment.
