Description

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify SBIRT (Screening & Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment) as a system change initiative in the context of trauma.

2. Understand the continuum of substance use.

3. Understand the information screening does and does not provide.

4. Define brief intervention/brief negotiated interview along with the goals and role of the provider when conducting a BI/BNI.
