Co-occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders in Adolescents

Written by Jessica Williams | March 26, 2018

This curriculum is designed to assist those who provide training to counselors working with adolescents in substance use disorder treatment programs by addressing the unique challenges that counselors may have when they consider ways to begin to integrate assessment and treatment approaches to meet more fully the needs of youth with co-occurring mental health disorders.

It is designed to be presented over the course of two full days, although organizations are welcome to adapt the materials to suit their unique needs.

The curriculum was updated in 2010.
