Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Substance Use Disorders: From Theory to Practice

Description

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been found to be effective for treating a variety of Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). This webinar will review the CBT model of substance use, as well as practical treatment strategies and tools to best help individuals affected by SUDs. Resources for further information will be provided.

Presenter

Heather Fulton, PhD is a registered psychologist working at Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addiction located just outside of Vancouver, BC, Canada. It is a publicly funded treatment centre for people with severe substance use and mental health disorders. Dr. Fulton is also an adjunct faculty member in the University of British Columbia Department of Psychology and Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry.
