Description

Early SBIRT adopters became SBIRT billing innovators in hospital and clinic settings. From their experience, learn how to integrate Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) into your Electronic Health Record and billing system, and how to get paid for SBIRT in hospitals, emergency departments and outpatient hospital practices and clinics. SBIRT enables providers and hospitals to treat patients plus allows for coding/billing to operate seamlessly.

Presenter

Joseph Hurley is president of Primary Care National and the Executive Director of MediCenter Health Systems in Kenai, AK. Mr. Hurley’s pioneering work has been centered in the role of team based healthcare, creating successful Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) integration and implementation modules, primary care innovations, five tier 3 certified patient centered medicalhomes, accountable care organizations, Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations, and the expansion of the role primary care has in our nation’s healthcare reform.
