SBIRT for Older Adults: Implementing Florida’s BRITE Program

Description

The Florida BRITE (Brief Intervention and Treatment for Elders) Project’s mission is to serve individuals 55 years and older to identify non-dependent substance use or prescription medication issues and to provide effective service strategies prior to their need for more extensive or specialized substance abuse treatment. This webinar will assist grantees in beginning the implementation process from the state level and can be adapted for sites that were selected as providers for the state, etc.

Presenter

Robert Hazlett, PhD has thirty-nine years experience in the mental health, behavioral health, and addictions fields. He has successfully implemented the SBIRT project in hospital emergency rooms, medical centers, urgent care, multi-physician practices, senior care centers, mobile medical, mental health, substance abuse treatment, and other social services programs.
