Description

As SBIRT services expand, preparing current and future professionals to navigate these important conversations becomes an urgent and sometimes challenging task, whether in university curricula or as continuing education in healthcare. Breakthroughs in science, technology, game mechanics and storytelling are enabling innovation in SBIRT skill-building approaches. Kognito’s nextgen approach uses conversations featuring virtual patients for teaching how to conduct SBIRT with ease and fidelity.

This webinar provides practical guidance on how health students and professionals can be offered opportunities to practice and assess SBIRT skills using evidence-based Kognito Conversations.

Presenter

Cyrille Adam, Ed. M, brings ten years of experience in instructional theory, design, and research to Kognito’s health and wellness applications. As Senior Director for Health Programs, Mr. Adam manages the development and dissemination of virtual patient simulations for health professionals and students. Prior to joining Kognito, he developed health and technology projects at the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning (CCNMTL) and the United Nations Children’s Fund. Mr. Adam is currently working on his Ed.D in Learning Technologies Design at Columbia University, and is an avid cyclist and long-distance runner.
