Understanding the Connection between Human Trafficking and Substance Use Disorder

Written by Marla Kauffman | January 30, 2023

The role of substance use disorder in human trafficking is powerful and pervasive. Individuals with substance use issues are especially vulnerable to trauma and victimization by human traffickers. This training will explore these factors, discuss warning signs, types, and venues of human trafficking; and provide intervention, assessment, and treatment strategies.
