Description

This presentation will discuss medication assisted treatment that is used to treat individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. The epidemic of prescription opioid pain medication and illicit opioids, such as heroin, has contributed to morbidity and mortality in the United States. Medication assisted treatment has been encouraged to be prescribed in order to help treat opioid use disorder and to save and change lives.

During this webinar you will learn how to:

  • understand the requirements for prescribing medication assisted treatment.
  • describe the various medication treatments for opioid use disorder.
  • understand the difference between long-acting vs. oral medication for treatment of opioid use disorder.
