The World Health Organization (WHO) is in international entity that works with governments and other partners to ensure the highest attainable level of health for all people. Several treatment guidelines about substance use have been published by WHO. The topics include community management of opioid overdose, identification and management of substance use and SUDs in pregnancy, medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder; and interventions for mental, neurological and substance use disorders in non-specialist health settings.
